Babysitter's Information
The Service:
* It is very important that you inform the office of your free time each week.
There is an answer phone provided on a Sunday evening for this purpose
on 01483 560320 This number also accepts text messaging.
* It is useful whilst phoning through your times, if you could confirm which
times are NOT free for the following week.
* When leaving these times, speak clearly, leaving your full name, and
availability for each evening of the following week, e.g. Monday 6pm,
Tuesday not free. Etc.
* We will give priority to the sitters who phone regularly.
* When you are given a job, you must confirm the date, time and address
with the client as soon as possible (they don’t know they have a babysitter
until you ring to confirm). If you have no luck, please keep trying throughout
the day AND if you don’t make contact, you must still arrive at the appointed
time.
* Arrive on time. If you get held up somewhere you must phone and let them
know.
* Not turning up is not an option unless there is an EMERGENCY when you
must use our emergency line to let us know (07951091035).
* The client’s phone must never be used unless in an emergency. With the
introduction of itemised phone bills, the time and date of all calls are listed and can be easily traced to you if you make a call. Any babysitter who
abuses a client’s phone will be taken off our register immediately and
forever.
* Never take friends, relatives or animals along to a job.
* Please always tidy away anything you may have used including any cups. A
light meal will be provided if your job starts before 7pm.
* You are responsible for children in your care and this must be taken very
seriously, checks are to be made on all children every 20 minutes and
baby monitors are to be used and kept with you at all times.
* Always insist the client leaves a contact number and the number of the
doctor.
